STATE OF THE ART
Diagnostic Centre - Digital 3D diagnostics
Our team of physiotherapists conducts a comprehensive walking, running and posture analysis that includes two key components. First, the physiotherapeutic evaluation includes a review of the posture of the whole body, a detailed measurement of mobility and leg length. After that, the patient moves to another room where computer analyses are carried out that accurately detect the slightest deviations and specificities of your feet and body. In the diagnostic center, using computers, 3D scanners, cameras and sensors, we determine every parameter essential for your orthopedic insoles.
In what cases could orthopedic insoles help you?
- Flat feet (pes planus) – conditions where the arch of the foot is lowered or absent, which can cause pain and irregular gait.
- High arch of the foot (pes cavus) – a condition where the arch of the foot is excessively high, which can lead to uneven foot loads and balance problems.
- Plantar fasciitis – inflammation of the plantar fascia, the tissue that connects the heel and fingers, which can cause severe pain in the heel.
- Metatarsalgia – pain in the front of the foot caused by excessive load or deformities.
- Morton's neuroma – a thickening of the nerve between the toes of the foot, usually between the third and fourth fingers, which can cause pain and discomfort.
- Pendants (calcaneal spur) - growths on the heel bone that can cause pain when walking.
- Achilles tendinopathy – inflammation or degeneration of the Achilles tendon which may be associated with inadequate foot biomechanics.
- Hallux valgus – deformation of the toe which may cause pain and discomfort when walking.
- Knee pain (patelofemoral syndrome) – often associated with incorrect alignment of the feet, which may affect the biomechanics of gait and knees.
- Spinal problems (e.g. lumbar pain) – improper foot biomechanics can lead to gait disturbances and spinal load.
- Diabetic foot – diabetes-related conditions that can cause ulcers or nerve damage, so the pads help reduce pressure and protect the feet.
- Arthritis – osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis that can affect the feet and joints.
- Overstrain syndrome (shin splints) – pain along the inner edge of the lower leg that may be associated with irregular gait.
- Shortened limb – insoles with elevation can help to compensate for the difference in leg length.
Did you know?
Why is it important to walk properly?
Walking is one of the basic and most significant activities of man, and the average man walks about 170,000 kilometers in his life, which is roughly like making a circle around the world four times. Since this is an activity that we do every day, sometimes for several hours, it is very important that we walk properly, and walking analysis is the method by which we determine this.
